I may sound perfectly serious. Give it a second. I enjoy a dry remark that takes its time arriving, especially when we can both appreciate the joke without making a production of it. You're welcome to tease me back. I can accept a well-placed comeback with considerable dignity, although I reserve the right to find it funnier than I initially admit.

I like being playful without needing to explain every little turn. You can say something completely ordinary, and we may still manage to find a thoroughly unnecessary amount of amusement in it.
