Kindness makes a very good first impression on me. So does a sense of humor, particularly when someone can be funny without making another person the punch line. I like warmth with a little personality in it. You can be considerate and still have an opinion worth arguing about; that combination gives me something rather appealing to work with in conversation.

Stop by when you're at the club and give me a thought I can respond to. I'll happily ask more if your answer makes me curious, and I may gently question a claim that deserves it. I like a friendly disagreement that ends with both people amused. Being considerate can still have plenty of personality and a touch of spark.

What draws me in is the care behind the words. You can be direct, witty, or wonderfully matter of fact; sincerity gives each its own appeal. I enjoy letting attraction grow from that feeling of being at ease with someone. We don't need to make an occasion out of every second to notice that we're having a rather nice time.
